TruScan guide

Understand
the findings.

TruScan reads public Solana data for the contract you paste. Every check passes, needs attention or couldn’t be read. None of them rates the token as a whole.

What each check reads What it can’t tell you Where the data comes from

The three check states

Passed The data met this check’s pass condition. It describes one setting at the time of the scan, not the token as a whole.
Needs attention Something a holder should know about. The reason names what was found. It shows a permission or setting, not anyone’s intent.
Not checked TruScan couldn’t read the data. It never counts as passed. Scan again later, or open the source record yourself.

Start with one observation. Confirm the contract address, then read the reason attached to each result. A familiar name doesn’t identify a token. Check counts describe the checks that apply, without an overall verdict.

01 · CONTRACT CONTROLS

Who can change the token.

Mint, freeze, transfer features and the name: who can change the token, and what can affect transfers.

Mint authority

Can anyone mint more?
CHECK
Reads
Whether any wallet can still create more of this token.
Passes
The mint authority is revoked.
Needs attention
A wallet can still mint more tokens, which would shrink every holder’s share.
Can’t tell you
Whether anyone will sell the tokens that already exist.
Data source
The token’s mint account on Solana.

Freeze authority

Can your wallet be frozen?
CHECK
Reads
Whether any wallet can freeze holders’ tokens.
Passes
The mint’s freeze authority is revoked.
Needs attention
A wallet can freeze token accounts, which stops their owners from selling or moving the token.
Can’t tell you
Whether liquidity can be pulled from a pool.
Data source
The token’s mint account on Solana.

Transfer features

Built-in transfer features?
CHECK
Reads
Token-2022 features that affect transfers or balances: Transfer feesTransfer hooksPermanent delegateWallets that start frozenPausable transfersNon-transferable tokensConfidential transfersHidden minting or burningBalances with interest or a multiplier Unrecognized extensions are also named in the result.
Passes
None of these is switched on, and no one can switch on a fee, a hook or a pause later. Whether wallets can be frozen is the freeze authority check.
Needs attention
At least one is present. The result names which, for example “a configured transfer fee of up to 3%”.
Can’t tell you
Why a feature is there. Some regulated stablecoins use them on purpose.
Data source
The extensions stored on the mint account. Missing or unreadable settings show as not checked.

Name and ticker

Can it rename itself?
CHECK
Reads
Whether whoever controls the token can still change its name and ticker, or point the token at other name data.
Passes
The name and ticker are locked.
Needs attention
The controller can change the name or ticker, including to imitate another token.
Can’t tell you
Whether the name is honest, only whether it can change.
Data source
The Metaplex metadata account, or the name stored on a Token-2022 mint.
02 · HOLDINGS

Who holds the supply.

The largest wallets as one figure, and the identified creator wallet as a check. Bubblemaps shows how wallets connect.

Top 10 holders

How concentrated is the supply?
FIGURE · NOT PASS OR FAIL
Reads
The share of supply held by the ten largest wallets, shown on the token card. It is a figure to read, not a pass or fail.
Counts
Wallets among the 20 largest token accounts. Several accounts of one wallet are added together. The pump.fun curve, pools and other program-owned accounts are left out.
Can’t tell you
Whether several wallets belong to one person. Open the token on Bubblemaps to see connected wallets.
Data source
The Solana RPC’s list of the largest token accounts and the owners of those accounts.

Creator wallet

How much does it still hold?
CHECK
Reads
How much of the supply the identified pump.fun creator wallet currently holds. Only that wallet is checked.
Passes
At or below 5% of supply.
Needs attention
Above 5% of supply.
Can’t tell you
Tokens held in other wallets, including any other creator or team wallets.
Data source
The pump.fun bonding curve account and the creator’s token account. For holder-rewards tokens, and tokens launched before pump.fun recorded a creator on the curve, the creation event identifies the wallet that signed the launch.
03 · LIQUIDITY

What sellers receive.

The curve’s reserves and the asset received when selling.

Bonding curve

What do sellers receive?
CHECK
Reads
The pump.fun curve’s quote asset, real reserves and graduation state. The quote asset is what sellers receive from that curve.
Passes
The active curve settles in native SOL and reports a positive real SOL reserve.
Needs attention
The curve settles in another token, or reports no real quote reserves. A custom quote isn’t evidence of fraud, but your app must support that route.
Not checked
The curve data is unreadable. Pool locks and sell execution are not checked.
Graduated
A separate note explains that the curve check no longer applies; it adds no pass or not-checked count. Tokens without a pump.fun curve skip this check.
Can’t tell you
Whether your sell will execute, what the quote token is worth, or whether pool liquidity is locked after graduation.
Data source
pump.fun’s bonding curve account, including its quote mint and real reserve fields.
04 · TOKEN IDENTITY

A name is not an identity.

Only the contract address identifies a token, not its name.

Known token or look-alike name

Does the name match a listed token?
IDENTITY NOTE · NOT A CHECK
HOW IT APPEARS Not the real USDC Known token Similar name · neutral note
Reads
The token’s name and ticker, compared with a list of well-known Solana tokens such as USDC, USDT, Wrapped SOL, JUP and PYUSD. Look-alike letters from other alphabets, hidden characters and letters in another order count as the letters they imitate.
Says so when
The token uses one of those names on a different contract: “Not the real USDC”, with the real contract to scan. A name that only looks similar gets a neutral note, so an unrelated token is never called a copy.
Matches the list
The address is the well-known token itself. The checks still show what its owners can do.
Not a check
It doesn’t count as passed or needing attention. It shows above the result.
Data source
The token’s name data on Solana and TruScan’s own list, checked against the chain before a token is added.
05 · LAUNCH & FUNDING

Launch activity and funding connections.

Choose “Run Deep Dive” to explore a pump.fun launch’s opening minute, current balances for selected launch wallets, funding connections and the creator’s other tokens. These observations don’t change the contract-check counts.

The launch viewUp to 500 of the earliest transactions
500earliest transactions
12earliest buyers sampled
24if those aren’t available

The launch view reads up to 500 earliest transactions. If those aren’t available, it reads up to 24 transaction details instead. Missing records are marked incomplete, and some history can remain outside this bounded read. The opening-minute trades are from pump.fun; later creator movements are shown separately.

Purchases and balancesLaunch buys and later balances are separate observations

The snapshot separates launch purchases from later balances. Buyer counts exclude the creator. Each balance figure says how many wallets were checked; it is not a view of every holder. Open a timing row to inspect the buyers and their purchase transactions.

Purchase percentages use the supply at launch and include repeat buys. Current balances have their own observation time. They do not show how much of an original purchase was kept or sold. Wallets that signed a purchase are listed separately when they differ from the buyer; a signature can include fee sponsorship.

Following the creator’s tokensA transfer shows tokens moving, not who controls the receiving wallet

Creator buys and sells include later trades in the records already read; the result says how far that reaches. The earliest records of the creator’s token account show movements out: a sale on any venue (the creator received SOL), a transfer to another wallet, a burn, or tokens moved into a program account such as a pool. A transfer shows tokens moving, not who controls the receiving wallet.

Funding connectionsUp to 12 launch wallets, first 8 transactions each. Shared sources ≠ shared owner

“Check funding connections” inspects up to twelve launch wallets and their first eight successful transactions. Shared source addresses describe transfers, not common ownership. Known services such as Relay are kept out of wallet connections. Shared fee payers require wallet signatures; shared SOL recipients require transfers in the same minute. This sample does not cover later trading or all wallets and funding routes.

Other tokens: limits500 earliest transactions, up to 6 compared launches, 5 cards from that sample

“Explore other tokens” reads up to 500 earliest creator transactions, keeps up to twenty observed launches by creation time and compares up to six other launches for recurring buyers and purchase signers. Launches this wallet signed for a different creator are marked separately. The five cards come from that returned sample, highest available market cap first, not every token the wallet ever launched. Names come from creation records or DEX Screener, and market caps from DEX Screener; missing names, pictures and market caps stay unavailable. Supported legacy creations and CreateV2 records are included. Wallet links open pump.fun or Solscan when you want to explore further.

Bridge depositsRelay transfers matched to Robinhood Chain deposits. Unresolved means unknown

For wallets funded through the Relay bridge, the request ID in the transfer’s memo is matched against a deposit on Robinhood Chain, with its sender and transaction evidence. Shared verified deposit addresses are shown as observed connections. An unresolved lookup leaves the origin unknown.

06 · MARKET & CHART

Market numbers, chart and Bubblemaps.

Figures from outside providers, shown beside the checks. They don’t change any check.

DEX SCREENERPrice, liquidity, volume, chartAlso the logo. Market cap uses scanned supply and the provider’s price where available. Figures can be cached; the optional chart updates separately.
HELIUSChain dataHelius, with public Solana RPC as fallback. When DEX Screener has no logo, Helius’s image service loads the picture.
BUBBLEMAPSHolder distributionOpen the token on Bubblemaps for holder distribution and transfer connections.

07 · TRADE TROUBLESHOOTING

A check passed. Why won’t my trade go through?

A check isn’t a saleA passed check describes the setting it reads. It doesn’t simulate your sale. The app, route, available liquidity and wallet still decide whether an order can execute.
Curve trades another tokenSelling into that quote asset and swapping it to SOL are separate steps. Your trading app may not support the combined route. Inspect the quote token as well.
“Transaction size too large”This concerns how the app builds the transaction, not the number of tokens alone. Check the selected pair and route in your app. Raising slippage doesn’t fix a transaction-size limit.
